OVERVIEW OF EVENT
Dear Humans and Elves,
As the year is coming to an end, all your villagers start gathering in your town and together they build a wonderful Winter Market. There are many beautiful stalls, a gigantic Christmas tree made of icicles and all kinds of tasty delicacies to purchase. Elves, Humans and Orcs stand in line to get a fresh bottle of “Elvenade”, honey mead, candy apples or gingerbread. The highlight of the whole Winter Magic is the arrival of Santa Yeti, who gives out presents to all citizens.
This year, by completing the event quests and by searching in the outskirts of your city, you will be able to collect Snowflakes, which can be used to open up all kinds of Christmas Treats. These treats contain marvellous prizes, including a lot of brand new event buildings and we will also see some of our beloved Winter Event buildings from the past coming back! Opening up Christmas Treats will also reward you with Delicacies, which you will need to unlock the Grand Prizes. This year you will be able to collect 2 Set Buildings! One Set can be acquired by collecting all the Grand Prizes and the other one can be assembled by obtaining the seperate buildings as Daily Prizes.
EVENT DESIGN
“The Winter Magic” quest event is similar to the Woodelvenstock event we had this past summer.
Just like with other large events, we have two quest lines:
- The top quest giver offers the sequential quests; you can complete these as fast as you can to earn Snowflakes. See the full list here
- The second quest giver offers the daily quests. One new quest is presented each day. There is no time limit to complete it, but you can’t get more than 1 new quest per day. Earn 35 Snowflakes for each one completed. See the full list here
We can also collect additional Snowflakes from around the city. We can earn 1, 2, or 3 additional Snowflakes for each one we click.
Snowflakes can be found around your city in the same locations that Neighborly Help Reward Chests appear.
The following map from Mykan’s guide shows the possible locations where they can appear:
We spend Snowflakes by investing them into chests for a chance of one of several prizes, and to earn “Delicacies” towards the grand prizes.
SPENDING SNOWFLAKES
Use Snowflakes to make “Christmas Treats” which are this event’s version of chests. There are 9 total, and 3 are presented at a time. Each time you open a chest, they spin, and 3 new chests are presented.
Each time you earn Delicacies by opening a chest, the Christmas Goblins also move closer to other small gifts and prizes along the way:
There is not a set ratio of snowflakes to delicacies; each chest gives a different amount of Delicacies per Snowflakes.
This may make a difference in which chests to choose. Some pay very good Delicacies per Snowflakes, some do not, but offer higher chances at other great prizes.
CHOOSING THE BEST CHESTS
Listed below are each of the Christmas Treats/chests that may appear, and a general rating of how good a choice they are for different goals.
Generally speaking, the lower the Snowflake cost, the better the chest.
CHEST RATINGS
Some may seem backwards, but they are correct over many attempts; for example, the items with the highest odds for a single try may seem better on the surface, but in reality, when considering the overall cost of Snowflakes per attempt and the number of attempts needed to gain a specific item, another may actually be a better choice for your goal.
Keep in mind, the ratings given are based on general probabilities and costs over time and over a number of tries. If you only have enough Snowflakes to try a couple of times, you may want to choose the item that has the higher chance per try, instead of the item with the lowest long-term cost.
Click here for more details about how we ranked items
The summaries included for each treat/chest are based on this chart, which shows cost per single item in Snowflakes, when considering both the probability of winning each item, including extra Snowflakes, and the cost per attempt.
The lower the value, the better choice it is in terms of lowest long-term cost.

UNIQUE DAILY PRIZES
Listed below are each of the other new buildings that will be offered on various days throughout the event as the daily exclusive prize.
Buildings in addition to those listed here may also be offered, including repeats from previous events as this is not uncommon, but included here are only those buildings introduced for the first time during this event.
The prize that you receive is based on the chapter you are in when the prize is redeemed.
You MUST complete the
first research of a chapter
in order to be considered as
being “in” that chapter!
Once you’ve accepted the prize into your inventory, its value will not change. This is still true even if you have not yet placed it in your city.
