GOODS
These are the goods you’ll use the most of when catering in the Steel Tournament:

Steel

Scrolls

Magic Dust
EXTRAS
If you have any Magnificent Mage Multipliers or Enlightened Light Ranges from winning them in past events, this is a great province to use them!

Training
Train plenty of the following types of fighters to ensure you’ll have the best units to handle the Shady Characters found in the Steel provinces:
Elves
BEGINNER

Archer

Sorceress

Treant
Players in chapter one can train mostly Archers to use against the Thornrose Mage, Orc Warriors, and Swamp Monsters. Train a few Sword Dancers to use against the Thieves.
Once you have unlocked Treants in chapter 2, train some of these instead of the Sword Dancers to use against the Thieves. Once you have unlocked the Sorceresses in chapter 3, train some to assist against the Orc Warriors and Swamp Monsters.
INTERMEDIATE

Archer II

Blossom Mage

Treant II
Train Archer II to use against the Thornrose Mage, Orc Warriors, and Swamp Monsters. Train Blossom Mage for encounters facing mostly Orc Warriors, Swamp Monsters and two or fewer Thieves, as the Blossom Mage can stay out of the Thieves’ range. Train Treant II to use in encounters against a greater number of Thieves.
ADVANCED

Dryad II

Blossom Mage II

Elder Treant
Continue training Elite Archers until you unlock Dryad II, and then train them instead for encounters facing mostly Thornrose Mage, Orc Warriors, and Swamp Monsters. Train Blossom Mage II for encounters facing mostly Orc Warriors, Swamp Monsters and two or fewer Thieves, as the Blossom Mage can stay out of the Thieves’ range. Train Elder Treant to use in encounters facing a greater number of Thieves.
Humans
Train plenty of the following types of fighters to ensure you’ll have the best units to handle the Shady Characters found in the Steel provinces:
BEGINNER

Crossbowman

Priest

Paladin
Players in chapter one can train mostly Crossbowmen to use against the Thornrose Mage, Orc Warriors, and Swamp Monsters. Train a few Axe Barbarians to use against the Thieves.
Once you have unlocked Paladins in chapter 2, train some of these instead of the Axe Barbarians to use against the Thieves. Once you have unlocked the Priest in chapter 3, train Priests to assist against the Orc Warriors and Swamp Monsters. Priests also work great in encounters with 2 or fewer Thieves as they can stay out of the Thieves’ range.
INTERMEDIATE

Crossbowman II

Priest II

Paladin II
Train Crossbowmen II to use against the Thornrose Mage, Orc Warriors, and Swamp Monsters. Train Priests II for encounters facing mostly Orc Warriors, Swamp Monsters and two or fewer Thieves, as the Priests can stay out of the Thieves’ range. Train Paladin II to use in encounters facing a greater number of Thieves.
ADVANCED

Dryad II

Sacred
Priest

Blessed
Paladin
Continue training Master Crossbowmen until you unlock Dryad II and then train them instead of the Crossbowmen for encounters facing mostly Thornrose Mage, Orc Warriors, and Swamp Monsters. Train Sacred Priests for encounters facing mostly Orc Warriors, Swamp Monsters and two or fewer Thieves, as the Priest can stay out of the Thieves’ range. Train Blessed Paladin to use in encounters facing a greater number of Thieves.
THE ENEMIES

Thornrose Mage

Orc Warrior

TACTICS TO CONSIDER
Fights with large combinations of all 3 enemy types will be the most difficult.
We recommend these be catered or fought manually using a mix and match of your fighters according to the obstacles on the battlefield,
especially after round 3 of the tournament.
AUTO-FIGHT
Most tournaments in the first few rounds can be won with auto-fight. This can be a great option for fighting novices to still be able to use a mix of resources (units and goods) so more tournament provinces and rounds can be won.
For many of the first rounds of fights, if you pick the right match ups, the fight is easy enough for auto-fight to do as good of a job as manual fighting would do for far less effort.
Of course, choose at your own risk. The more difficult the fight, and the more even the match-up, the more likely it is that you are nearly guaranteed to lose far more units with auto-fight than with manual fight.

MANUAL-FIGHT
Manual fight is recommended in most instances for fewer losses of units. Manual fight may or may not make a significant difference compared to auto-fight in the easiest battles (usually only the first round of the tournament for each province.)
Use Priests, Sorceresses or Blossom Mage
vs
combos of mostly Swamp Monsters, Orc Warriors and two or fewer Thieves

Use Archers, Crossbowmen or Dryads II
vs
Mostly Thornrose Mage, Orc Warriors, Swamp Monsters and one or fewer Thieves

Use Paladins or Treants
vs
Mostly Thieves, and one or fewer Thornrose Mage

Use combinations of Archers/Crossbowmen/Dryads and Paladins/Treants
vs
large combos of all 3 enemy types.
