GOODS
These are the goods you’ll use the most of for catering in the Scroll Tournament:

Steel

Scrolls

Magic Dust
EXTRAS
If you have any Orc Strategists from winning Grounds of the Orc Strategist in past events, this is a great province to use them!
Training
Train plenty of the following types of fighters to ensure you’ll have the best units to handle the Shady Characters found in the Scrolls provinces:
Elves
BEGINNER

Cerberus

Archer

Golem

Sorceress
Players in chapter 1 can train Sword Dancers to use against any enemy type.
Train Archers to use against the Abbots.
Once you have unlocked the Cerberus, start training these instead of the Sword Dancers.
After unlocking Golems, train a few of these to use against Rangers and Mistwalkers. Train Sorceress to use against the Orc Deserters.
INTERMEDIATE

Cerberus II

Archer II

Golem II

Banshee
Train Cerberus II to use against the Abbots, Rangers and Mist Walkers.
Train Archer II to use against the Abbots and for long-range attacks.
Train Golem II for encounters facing mostly Rangers and Mistwalkers.
Train Banshee instead of Sorceress to use against the Orc Deserters.
ADVANCED

Elite Archer

Sinister Cerberus

Granite Golem
Train Elite Archers for encounters facing one or more Abbots and Orc Deserters. Although the Drone Rider specializes against Light Range Units, we found that in this province, they only performed better than Elite Archer in when facing Light Ranged units exclusively.
Train a few Sinister Cerberus for fights against a majority of Abbots. Avouid using them when facing even one Orc Deserter.
Train a few Granite Golems for encounters facing mostly Rangers and Mist Walkers.
LATE-GAME

Forest Warden

Sinister Cerberus

Orc Strategist
Train Forest Wardens for encounters facing one or more Abbots and Orc Deserters. Although the Drone Rider specializes against Light Range Units, we found that in this province, they only performed well when facing Light Ranged units exclusively.
Train a few Sinister Cerberus for fights against a majority of Abbots. Avoid using them in fights facing even one Orc Deserter.
Train a few Senior Orc Strategists instead of Granite Golems for encounters facing mostly Rangers and Mist Walkers unless there is a significant training speed disadvantage to do so.
Humans
BEGINNER

Crossbowman

Cerberus

Mortar

Train Priests to use against the Orc Deserters.

Priest II
Train Cerberus II to use against the Abbots, Rangers and Mist Walkers.

Train Priests II to use against the Orc Deserters.
ADVANCED

Master Crossbowman

Sinister Cerberus

Train a few Orc Strategists II for encounters facing mostly Rangers and Mist Walkers.

Train a few Senior Orc Strategists for encounters facing mostly Rangers and Mist Walkers.
THE ENEMIES

Abbot
Mage Unit
Moves: 2 Spaces
Attacks: 5 Space

Ranger
Light Ranged
Moves: 4 Spaces
Attacks: 4 Spaces

Mist Walker
Light Ranged
Moves: 4 Spaces
Attacks: 4 Spaces

Orc Deserter
Heavy Ranged
Moves: 3 Spaces
Attacks: 3 Space
NOTE: After the first few provinces the Rangers are replaced by Bandits.
Both are Light Range Units but the Bandits move 3 spaces and attack 4 spaces away.
TACTICS TO CONSIDER
Because the Orc Deserters like to hide in corners and behind obstacles, it is often better to use Light Range Units in encounters featuring mostly Abbots and 2 or fewer Orc Deserters.
Fights with large combinations of all 3 enemy types will be the most difficult.
We recommend these be catered or fought manually using a mix and match of your fighters according to the obstacles on the battlefield, especially after round 3 of the tournament.
AUTO-FIGHT
Most tournaments in the first few rounds can be won with auto-fight. This can be a great option for beginners to complete tournament provinces than can be done with goods alone.
For many of the first rounds of fights, if you pick the right units, the fight is easy enough for auto-fight to do as good of a job as manual fighting would do with far less effort.
Of course, choose at your own risk. The more difficult the fight, the more likely it is that you will lose more units with auto-fight than with manual fight.
