This event brings us one new Evolving Building – Coldfire Phoenix.

UPDATE 3/12/2020: The evolving building has been rebalanced to make it more valuable. You can also now exchange 2019 Phoenix Artifacts for 2020 Coldfire Phoenix Artifacts and vice versa in crafting! We’re still making updates here, but in the meantime, check out the forum announcement about the change.

WHAT ARE EVOLVING BUILDINGS?

Evolving buildings are a special type of building that can be evolved through 10 different stages with “Artifacts”.

One new evolving building will be available this event – Coldfire Phoenix.

Evolving buildings aren’t very valuable until evolved to Stage 5. They become even more powerful if they can be evolved to higher stages, though this can be fairly challenging.

HOW TO GET IT

Obtaining the Coldfire Phoenix is very easy. It will be offered as a reward for the very first quest.

While it is easy to obtain, it will be more challenging to evolve so that it is valuable enough to be worth placing in your city.

BENEFITS

When you first place it, it will add a nominal amount of population and culture, and produce some supplies, 1st, 2nd or 3rd tier goods, mana, or Tier 1 Sentient Goods every 48 hours depending on the chapter level of the building.

As it is evolved it will provide higher population and culture, then coins and finally supplies.

At the highest stages, it also produces Knowledge Points.

FEEDING EFFECT

When you feed the Coldfire Phoenix, it will award you with additional KP with each completed scout. The higher the stage, the more KP! Starting at stage 1, 5 KP per scout is awarded, up to 14 at stage 10.

The effect lasts for 24 hours per pet food.

EVOLVING THE Coldfire Phoenix

In order to evolve the Coldfire Phoenix to higher stages, you will need “Coldfire Phoenix Artifacts” which you can win as Grand Prizes.

One Coldfire Phoenix Artifact will evolve the building by one stage.

The Coldfire Phoenix is a valuable building at stage 5 and even better at higher stages!

A stage 9 or 10 Coldfire Phoenix is comparable to many premium items in the game.

Earn Coldfire Phoenix artifacts as Grand Prizes.

You can also use 2019 Phoenix Artifacts to craft 2020 Coldfire Phoenix Artifacts, and vice versa!

EVOLVE Coldfire Phoenix

After placing the Coldfire Phoenix building, click on it to see 3 tabs: Collect, Evolve, and Upgrade.

The Collection tab shows you details for the building’s current stage.

Click the ‘Evolve’ tab to evolve the building.

Scroll through the 10 different stages.

The “Evolve” button will only be enabled (green) if you have at least one Coldfire Phoenix Artifact.

Click “Evolve” to evolve the building.

EVOLVING V. UPGRADING

Just like other event buildings, evolving buildings can be upgraded to later chapter versions using Royal Restoration instants.

Upgrading a building increases the building chapter, but does not affect the building stage.

If you upgrade an evolving building, it will adopt the new chapter version of the existing stage; the stage will not change.
