May Celebrations

The Elvenar event, “May Celebrations” began on beta April 22, 2020 and will continue through May 11, 2020.

It will begin on live worlds May 11, 2020 and will continue through May 30, 2020.

Please keep in mind that there can always be differences in event layouts, balancing and prizes between Beta and Live release.

EVENT STORY

Dear Humans and Elves,

It is time for festive decorations, as all people in Elvenar celebrate the customs of spring and fertility. Young and old are outside to have a look at the majestic May Tree, which blossoms in most beautiful colors. But not only the Tree sparks interest, people from all Elvenar have gathered for a fantastic fair: You see children on the merry-go-round, sorcerers selling cotton candy, Halfling musicians on public stages and romantic carriages waiting for a ride. Come and join the festivities and meet Bardbarella from the Bards College. Together, you will roam the celebration grounds, entertain yourselves, help a few people in need and maybe learn a thing or two about traditions.

EVENT DESIGN

This event uses the familiar “shuffle” mechanic we saw in Winter Magic 2019, offers an evolving building for a prize, and a slight twist on the Quest format.

Collect Spring Seeds by completing quests and finding them around your city.
Open Flowers with Spring Seeds. Flowers contain a variety of rewards.
Earn Life Force from the Flowers you open.
Add Life Force to the tree to earn 1-3 Blossoms.
Each 20 Blossoms complete the tree and unlock the next Grand Prize.

Most events include an offer early on to purchase a special building that will add 1 extra event currency for each time you collect one from around the city.

Opening Flowers

Each day there is a new set of 16 Flowers to open. The flowers contain several rewards including one Daily Exclusive from a collection of new and returning rewards.

Open a Flower to receive the item inside and Life Force.

3 of the 16 Flowers also contain a special effect:

“Double Reward” – doubles the reward contained in the next Flower you open.
“Reveal Two” – This item lets you preview what’s inside 2 unopened flowers before opening them.
“Reshuffle” – All 16 Flowers are reshuffled. You also receive 10 Spring Seeds.

Use Life Force to acquire Blossoms towards the Grand Prizes. 1 Life Force can add 1, 2, or 3 Blossoms. 20 Blossoms complete the May Tree, unlocking the next Grand Prize.
