Grand Prizes
Harvest Festival
Just as with similar events of this nature in the past, there are 3 grand prizes up for grabs in this event, and their values vary by chapter.
All 3 of the Grand Prizes belong to a Set. The first belongs to 1 set, and 2 & 3 belong to a separate set. The other 4 set buildings for the first set, and other 2 for the 2nd set may be won when they appear as daily exclusive prizes.
For charts with benefit details, visit the Set Buildings page.

- Collect more than the average number of fallen Moon Splinters around your city
- Have slightly above average luck in winning extra Moon Splinters when opening cornucopias
- Have very good luck in winning each set building with only one or two attempts for each
- Collect 6 Moon Splinters twice a day = 12 collections
- +1 extra Moon Splinter x 12 collections x 30 days = 360 extra
The prize that you receive is based on the chapter you are in when the prize is redeemed.
You MUST complete the
first research of a chapter
in order to be considered as
being “in” that chapter!
Once you’ve accepted the prize into your inventory, its value will not change. This is still true even if you have not yet placed it in your city.
ARE WE GUARANTEED TO WIN THEM ALL?
There is never a guarantee that we will win all three of the grand prizes, or even the first two, even if we finish all of the quests. It does indeed involve an element of luck, liberal use of double days, and winning plenty of extra Moon Splinters in order to acquire enough Sun Flares.
In previous events, it used to be only somewhat likely to win the 2nd grand prize, and highly unlikely to win the third grand prize, without investing in additional event currency.
This is obvious when we look at the total Sun Flares required, and how many Moon Splinters it would take to obtain that many (without any tries resulting in additional Moon Splinters.)

Adding up all the Moon Splinters available to be earned, we can see that it’s not nearly enough.
With the use of Double Days, however, it is possible (though not necessarily likely) for players who complete all quests to win all 3 Grand Prizes without needing to purchase additional event currency.
This doesn’t appear to be enough on the surface. We can see we’ll need some luck.
One would need to win 140 extra Moon Splinters at least 5 times.
Assuming 4,000 are spent on large cornucopias (which may or may not be possible depending on when the quests are completed and whether the final day is a double day), one would be afforded approximately 28 or so tries.
Out of 28 tries, using basic calculations, average results would provide just under 7; 4.2 times at 140, and 2.3 at 200.
This doesn’t leave much wiggle room for poor luck, or any left over to risk spending Moon Splinters on any other day but a double day. This means you have a likely, but not guaranteed, chance of winning all 3 Grand Prizes without needing to invest in extra event currency IF you:
WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE SET?
As demonstrated above, we can see it’s going to be challenging just to win the 3 grand prizes. With above average luck, however, it is possible but not likely to win one of each of the other set buildings without spending diamonds.
Even if you do obtain all of the Moon Splinters possible during the event, you will only have tries available for the other daily exclusive buildings if you win extra Moon Splinters more than 7 times while opening cornucopias on double Sun Flare days.
This means that in order to win the full set, you would need to complete all of the quests AND:
New this event however, because there are two different sets, and we could potentially complete a full set with just the first grand prize building, this gives us more choices in how we’d like to focus our efforts.
If we want to try to win all of both sets? As we already saw, this is probably not likely without investing in extra Moon Splinters.
However it is very possible to complete all of Set 1, since only the first Grand Prize is needed. If one is not concerned with the 2nd set, but would really like to complete the first, they have far more Moon Splinters to spend on the days the other 4 buildings of this set are offered.
WHAT IF I BUY THE MOON MIRROR?
The Moon Mirror will help you earn additional Moon Splinters. Using the following assumptions:
You would then have potential earnings of approximately:
This may be generous, depending on which day the building is actually offered/purchased, or it could be under-estimating if one is able to collect more than 12 Moon Splinters a day.
This would afford one a few extra tries for other daily exclusive buildings. One would only need to win extra Moon Splinters on 2 tries, and this is more than likely if not practically guaranteed.
