ELvarian Carnival

The Elvenar event, “Elvarian Carnival” began on beta January 21, 2020 and will continue through February 12, 2020.

It has not yet been announced when it will arrive on live worlds. Please keep in mind that there can always be differences in event layouts, balancing and prizes between Beta and Live release.

Update 1/31/20: It has now been announced the event begins on all worlds February 4, 2020 and will continue through February 26, 2020.

Update 1/31/20: From the forum announcement: “We are making a change to the Elvarian Carnival quests on Beta today: we will, for this event, not use the randomized quests. Instead, we will be using a questline that will be the same for all players, as we have done previously. We are making this change because of both feedback that we’ve received from the community during past events, as well as data that we have for these.” These changes are NOT yet reflected in the guide, here. Check back soon for updates!

OVERVIEW OF EVENT

Dear Humans and Elves,

Your citizens are preparing for another Carnival celebration. Halflings are making their famous wine, Fairies are hanging up their lanterns, and even Golems are helping with moving things around.

Estrella and Robard lead you through this festive season and take a closer look at all the wagons and chariots, which form the parade. As Valentines Day falls into the Carnival season this year, your citizens are preparing a special float, honoring the most romantic connection in Elvenar – Burukbrak and Gaelagil. Will you help everyone finish the Valentine’s Float in time for the celebrations?

EVENT DESIGN

“Elvarian Carnival” quest event has two quest lines:

The top quest giver offers the sequential quest. See the full list here

The second quest giver offers the daily quest. One new quest is presented each day. There is no time limit to complete it, but you can’t get more than 1 new quest per day. Earn 35 Candies for each one completed. See the full list here

You can also collect additional Candies from around the city. You can earn 1, 2, or 3 additional candies for each one clicked.

Candies can be found around your city in the same locations that Neighborly Help Reward Chests used to appear.

As with previous events, an offer is presented early on in the event to purchase a special building that will add 1 Candy for each time you collect one from around the city.

SPENDING CANDIES

Spend Candies by investing them into chests for a chance of one of several prizes, and to earn “Flags” towards the grand prizes.

There are a total of 9 chests, and 3 are presented at a time. Each time you open a chest, they spin, and 3 new chests are presented.

There is no set order or pattern; the next chests will be selected randomly with each spin.
